Pointer footwear was created back in 2004 in the Shoreditch area of London by Gareth Skewis. Skewis felt the marketplace at the time was majorly lacking in smart footwear, and so he set out to create a collection that was suitable for more formal occasions without branching into shoe territory. Pointer Footwear was a rebellion against all the big sneakers of its time, and sought to create something entirely different. The brand soon gained backing from the powerful clothing house Work in Progress, which runs clothing giants Carhartt and Edwin in Europe, and so the success Pointer has achieved in a relatively short time is not that surprising. These days the brand has several of its own stores, where you will find the entire Pointer collection.
