Gingko Press was established in 1985 by partners Mo Cohen and Julie von der Ropp in Hamburg, Germany. In 1991 they launched Gingko Press Inc. in Santa Rosa, California at the offices and warehouse of John Martin’s Black Sparrow Press. In 1999 Gingko Press purchased world rights to iconoclast educator, media pioneer and author Marshall McLuhan. McLuhan’s writings on culture and technology have given the company a new paradigm for understanding history, through their tools and various sources, distilled in his famous phrase “the medium is the message.” They also began publishing ventures with Juxtapoz Magazine, ObeyGiant, Upper Playground, Victionary, and Kill Your Idols. A new imprint, Rebel Arts, will publish fiction and poetry, and will produce apparel and paper products together with their authors.
With major publications under their sleeve such as Juxtapoz, Kill Your Idols and all rights reserved, Gingko Press delivers high-end magazines to the general public which document everything from modern culture and arts to focusing on the zeitgeist.
Don’t forget we also offer free next day delivery on orders over £50.
