DETAILS
The Bedale was Barbour's first short, lightweight jacket. It was introduced in 1980 and originally designed for riding.
This Oversized version keeps everything that made the original — mediumweight 6oz waxed cotton, the corduroy collar, the bellows pockets — in a roomier, relaxed cut, here in dark brown.
- The detail — a brass two-way ring-pull zip under a studded storm fly front, two large bellows pockets, two moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets, and a traditional corduroy collar with studs for a hidden throat flap. An inner drip-strip helps keep damp out, and rear vents give freedom of movement.
- Made from — 100% waxed cotton outer with a 100% cotton lining and collar. No external branding.
- Wears like — shorter length with a relaxed fit and a 75cm back length.
- All year round — Barbour designs the Bedale to take optional zip-in thermal liners and hoods, so it can be layered up for winter.
- Looking after it — do not wash, sponge clean only.
