Terms For DPD
• Order before 2.30 pm for Delivery the Next Day
• DPD will text you when the parcel is collected. On the morning of delivery, they will text you again and give you the option to delay/cancel your delivery or leave it in a safe place. They will also give you the option to be notified when your parcel is next to be delivered, and then text again to let you know it's been delivered.
• DPD will attempt two or three deliveries. After the second or third attempt, your parcel will be delivered to the nearest DPD depot for you to collect.
• No delivery service is guaranteed. If delivery is not the next day, the delivery charge cannot be refunded. Many variables, like roadworks, trucks breaking down, car crashes, flooding, and bad weather, can delay deliveries. Currently, DPD has a 99.2% delivery rate.
• If you choose a 'Premium Service' from DPD, such as AM/PM Delivery, Saturday or Sunday delivery, the service is refundable if the delivery is late.
• DPD Parcels that are refused or not collected from the depot within 2 or 3 days will be returned to us; a £15 charge for this service will be deducted from your order refund/credit and the original delivery charge.
• DPD deliveries require a signature. If you change this and ask the courier to leave the item in a safe place, you are, by law, responsible for its delivery.
Terms For Royal Mail
• Royal Mail parcels not collected from the depot will be refunded minus the original delivery charge.
• All Royal Mail UK deliveries will be sent 2nd class and should be received within 2-5 days.
• All deliveries require a signature upon receipt. If delivery is anticipated to take longer than the stated time, you will be notified.
• If goods are unavailable for immediate dispatch, you will be asked via email if you wish to proceed.
If your parcel has not arrived within 2 days of the due delivery date for Courier or 5 days for Royal Mail, you must inform FBS immediately. If you do not notify FBS within this timescale, we may not be able to compensate you as a customer. All tracking information is emailed to the customer on the day of dispatch. We advise tracking your parcel every day until arrival. Please check your spam filters or contact FBS for help if you have not received this information. If your tracking information does not work, don't hesitate to contact FBS for help.
Why am I paying more for delivery to Northern Ireland & Scottish Highlands?
The courier charges extra for delivering to a remote and less populated area (sorry, there needs to be some downside to living in some of the most beautiful places in this country, otherwise we would all be there).
