The Arizona is the two-strap Birkenstock and the one most people picture when they picture the brand. Adjustable buckles on both straps, a contoured cork-latex footbed that moulds to your foot over the first few weeks, and an EVA sole that takes the edge off pavement.
Oiled leather rather than suede — a heavier, slightly waxy finish that darkens where it creases and shrugs off scuffs. Black is the version that works with everything and stops looking like a sandal the moment you wear it with socks, which is now apparently allowed.
