The 1943 edition channels WWII Armed Services paperbacks — three 'Two-Way' memo books stapled on the short edge so you can flip and use them either way, in red, yellow and blue.
Each book has a 3/16-inch graph grid on Domtar Cougar 60# Natural paper, in a durable Westrock Tango cover, sized 5½ × 3½ in (140 × 89 mm). A Winter 2025 limited edition, made in the USA. SKU 31545063001.
Field Notes was founded in 2007 by designer Aaron Draplin and Jim Coudal, who revived the disappearing American memo book as a modern pocket notebook. More than fifteen years on, the brand still extends that vintage-inspired, made-in-the-USA craft into limited seasonal editions released four times a year.
