The Ray-Ban Justin comes in matte opal grey with a dark blue lens, a muted frame against a lens with real colour in it.
Justin borrows the Wayfarer's outline and pushes it wider and squarer, in a lighter propionate rather than acetate. Opal grey is semi-translucent, so the frame catches light differently through the day rather than sitting flat. Full UV protection. 55mm eye size. SKU RB4165 687380 55.
Ray-Ban began in 1937, when Bausch & Lomb built a green-tinted lens to cut the glare US Army Air Corps pilots met at altitude. The Aviator followed that year and the Wayfarer in 1952, and nearly ninety years on the name still builds that optical-first thinking into frames worn far beyond the cockpit.
