On the Traction Tread sole it pairs with a slightly softer ride underfoot than the standard Vibram Mini-Lug, making the 8089 the Iron Ranger variant built for all-day use on mixed terrain.
The 8089 Heritage 6" Iron Ranger Boot shares the standard Iron Ranger's Goodyear welt construction and double leather toe cap, but is fitted with Red Wing's Traction Tread sole rather than the Vibram Mini-Lug — a different profile and grip pattern suited to varied ground.
