Mon the Toon is a series about Glasgow's independent businesses. Stascia has been working her way round the city centre, going into the small shops one at a time and giving them a proper platform. There are not many people doing that for us.

She came to 81 Queen Street to film an episode with Fat Buddha Store.

Stascia spoke to Gillian about what customers can expect when they come into the shop — useful if you have never been in before and are not sure what you are walking into.

  • Max's Bar — 73 Queen Street, a few doors along from us.
  • The Piper Whisky Bar — 57 Cochrane Street, just off George Square.
  • Greaves Sports — 23 Gordon Street. Trading since 1930 and still family run.
  • The Pot Still — 154 Hope Street. A whisky bar that has been there since 1867.

All four are walkable from our door.
