Barbour's utility instinct, rendered in lightweight nylon. The Transport Nylon Casual Jacket in sage keeps the details that matter — baby cord collar, tartan inside, drawcord hem — in a jacket you can fold into a bag.
- Made from — 100% polyamide outer over a 100% polyester buggy lining. Wind-resistant and genuinely light, with none of the weight of a waxed jacket.
- Wears like — cut oversized with a 66cm back length. Zip front with stud placket, elasticated cuffs and a drawcord hem to pull the shape in when the wind gets up. Layers over a sweatshirt without bulk.
- The Barbour part — sage is the colour Barbour keeps returning to, and the baby cord collar and inner tartan come straight from the waxed jackets made in South Shields since 1894. Tonal embroidery to the left pocket, and nothing louder than that.
- Who it's for — the jacket for the nine months that aren't deep winter. Sits as easily against denim and a tee as it does over a knit on a cold morning.
- Looking after it — machine wash at 30°C, wash separately. No wax, no reproofing, no fuss. Hang to dry and it holds its shape for years.
