Safari, Greenscape is the earthy option: a soft khaki-tan against a deep green.
A properly waterproof shell rather than a shower-resistant one — Omni-Tech fabric with every critical seam sealed, so it holds up to a full day of rain rather than just seeing off a light drizzle. The shell is 100% recycled polyester, and the whole jacket is mesh-lined, which keeps it breathable and stops the fabric from clinging when you're moving. A drawcord hood, chin guard, adjustable cuffs, and a drawcord hem let you shut it down when the weather turns. Zipped hand pockets. Columbia was founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1938 as the Columbia Hat Company by Paul Lamfrom, taking its name from the river that runs past the city. Gert Boyle took it over in 1970 and her son Tim Boyle has led it since 1988, carrying Pacific Northwest weather-testing into outdoor gear built to be worn rather than looked at.
