DETAILS
The Danner Women's Eastwood Goretex Hiking Boot in Brown/Pine borrows its looks from Danner's Mountain Light Cascade and puts them on a lighter, more affordable boot. It is made for light hiking and everyday wear, which in practice means most of the British winter.
The upper is full-grain leather with a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX lining. Danner's Resurge EVA midsole keeps the weight down and adds some bounce, and the Danner Pondo outsole grips well with a low-profile heel. It uses a modernised stitchdown construction for extra stability and is built on Danner's DW-1BH Precision Fit last for women, with a narrower heel and wider toe box. The OrthoLite footbed lifts out, there are two sets of laces in the box, and it is recraftable. Made in Vietnam. SKU 35102.
Danner was founded in 1932 by Charles Danner and has built boots in Portland, Oregon since 1936, earning its name on rugged, hand-built work and hiking boots for the Pacific Northwest. Plenty of its range is still recraftable, so a good pair can be resoled rather than binned.
