'Hunter's Moon' is the Fall 2026 Quarterly Edition, and it comes as a two-pack with two different jobs in mind. One book is ruled in light ochre for writing, the other is left blank for sketching. The cover artwork is by Laura Weiler, who works by gel plate monoprinting, layering collaged images, inks and paints before pressing them onto paper. It takes its cue in part from Ted Kooser's poem 'Abandoned House'.
Both books are the larger 4¾ × 7½ in format rather than the pocket memo size. Three black staples hold 48 pages of Mohawk Superfine Warm White 70#T, a premium paper Field Notes rate for writing and artwork across a range of media, inside 100#C Mohawk Superfine covers. The inside covers carry reference material on dreams, consciousness and memories. A limited quarterly edition. SKU FNC-72.
Field Notes was founded in 2007 by designer Aaron Draplin and Jim Coudal, who revived the disappearing American memo book as a modern pocket notebook. More than fifteen years on, the brand still translates that vintage-inspired, made-in-the-USA craft into limited seasonal editions released four times a year.
