Built from 100% cotton canvas with a vulcanised natural rubber sole heat-pressed directly onto the upper — no adhesives, no separation — the Sand/Black Star Master is constructed for the long haul. The sole's characteristic raised rubber line around the edge is not decoration; it's the visible result of the vulcanisation process, a mark of the real thing. SKU NOV-SM-CAN-SAND.
Novesta began in 1939 in the Slovak town of Partizánske, where the factory that makes these shoes still stands on its original site, running machinery from the same era. The brand name was registered in 1992, but the making of it — the vulcanisation, the hand-finishing, the cotton and natural rubber — has not changed.
