Novesta began in 1939 in the Slovak town of Partizánske, where the factory that makes these shoes still stands on its original site, running machinery from the same era. The brand name was registered in 1992, but the making of it — the vulcanisation, the hand-finishing, the cotton and natural rubber — has not changed.
